The Cadini di Misurina are a mountainous group of the eastern Dolomites in the province of Belluno. They lie west of Auronzo di Cadore, north-east of Cortina d'Ampezzo and south of Dobbiaco, in a position overlooking the lake of Misurina. The highest peak is the Cima Cadin di San Lucano (2,839 m s.l.m.). They are part of the subsection Dolomiti di Sesto, of Braies and d'Ampezzo and belong to the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore. The term Cadini derives from the Cadore Ciadìn (Ciadìs in the plural) that can be translated into valleys, of which the chain is full and makes the whole of the peaks a labyrinth.
